Term 4 - Motivational Work
All motivational work is set every Friday and needs to be completed by the following Friday, ready for marking.
It is optional to print the Mathematics tasks as I know not everyone has access to a printer.
Here is a run-down of what you need to complete each week:
1. Spelling words - parent test or look, say, cover, write, check (L.S.C.W.C) FOUR times a week. Each week there is 2 - 3 phonics sound we are focussing on that week. When completing your L.S.C.W.C, you need to write the sound of that word in a different colour.
2. Spelling words - Find dictionary definitions for 10 spelling words and write them in your motivational work book.
3. Spelling words - write each word in a sentence. This ensures that you know the meaning of the word and how to use it in your own writing.
4. Spelling Extension (Optional) - Try and put all your spelling words into a short story. Maximum 1 page.

- You need to read a book or a few pages of a book of your choice every night to somebody (family member, friend etc). You have all been given some comprehension questions that are to be asked by the person you read to. These questions are also found below.
- Literacy Pro: Every week, I will assign a book for you to read and complete a quiz on Literacy Pro.
5. Mathematics task - Each week, different tasks are set for different groups. Please find your group below. Maths Groups:
If you manage your time just right, you will only need to do 20-30 mins of homework a night.
Week 1 and 2
Students have glued the HASS Inquiry Project Task sheet into their homework books. It is also attached here.
Students are to take notes and gather research at home for homework. This can be in the form of hand written notes or printed out.
The poster will be created at school in Week 3, it is not to be completed at home.
