Term 3 - Motivational Work

Term 3 - Motivational Work

All motivational work is set every Friday and needs to be completed by the following Friday, ready for marking.

It is optional to print the Mathematics tasks as I know not everyone has access to a printer.

Your Motivational Workbook needs to come to school every day, and go home with you every night.

Here is a run-down of what you need to complete each week:
1. Spelling words - parent test or look, say, cover, write, check (L.S.C.W.C) FOUR times a week.
2. Spelling words - Find dictionary definitions for 10 spelling words and write them in your motivational work book.
3. Spelling words - write each word in a sentence. This ensures that you know the meaning of the word and how to use it in your own writing.
4. Spelling Extension (Optional) - Try and put all your spelling words into a short story. Maximum 1 page.

5. Reading:
  • You need to read a book or a few pages of a book of your choice every night to somebody (family member, friend etc). You have all been given some comprehension questions that are to be asked by the person you read to. These questions are also found below.
  • Literacy Pro: Every week, I will assign a book for you to read and complete a quiz on Literacy Pro.

5. Mathematics task - Each week, different tasks are set for different groups. Please find your group below. Maths Groups:
